Deliverance and Daily Decisions
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Breakthrough moments matter. But freedom is rarely sustained by moments alone. It is sustained by what you agree with the next morning.
Galatians does not only celebrate liberty; it commands believers to stand fast in it. That means freedom must be guarded against re-entanglement. Deliverance is not merely dramatic release. It is also ongoing refusal. Refusal to rehearse lies. Refusal to revisit old access points. Refusal to romanticize what once bound you. Refusal to call bondage harmless because it is familiar. Daily decisions either reinforce freedom or quietly reopen old doors.
The freedom God gives must be honored by the choices you keep making afterward.
You had a real breakthrough—a clean moment, a holy shift, a release, a resolve—but later drift pulled you back toward old words, old environments, old habits, or old comforts. Freedom needed maintenance, not just celebration.
What God set free in you does not have to be re-entangled by neglect.

Father, thank You for the liberty Christ has given me. Teach me to stand fast in it. Help me reject re-entanglement, strengthen holy practices, and honor freedom through daily decisions. In Jesus' name, amen.
I will stand fast in the freedom Christ has given me.
- What old yoke is most tempting to revisit?
- What access point needs to close?
- What daily choice most helps me remain free?
Write a "freedom maintenance plan" with one thing to stop, one thing to strengthen, and one person to contact when weak.
"This week I learned that freedom must be protected by daily agreement."
