Healing From Rejection
To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
Rejection is more than a moment. It can become a language. It can start teaching you how to interpret silence, disappointment, correction, delay, or distance. Eventually you stop saying, "That hurt," and start saying, "That is who I am."
The gospel speaks directly into rejection. In Christ, you are not trying to earn acceptance. You have been made accepted in the Beloved. That does not erase the sting of being overlooked, dismissed, abandoned, or misunderstood. But it does mean rejection is no longer qualified to name you. Healing begins when you tell the truth about what hurt and then refuse to let that wound become your identity. The work is not denial. The work is re-naming.
What happened to you may explain some of your reflexes, but it does not get to define your worth.
A door closes, a group excludes you, a person withholds warmth, a leader overlooks you, and suddenly an old ache wakes up: "See? I am still not wanted." That is the place where identity must return to God.
The Lord is breaking the agreement between your pain and your name.

Father, bring healing to the places where rejection still speaks loudly. Meet me in the ache, the memory, and the false identity that formed around pain. Teach me to live from Your acceptance, not people's inconsistency. In Jesus' name, amen.
Rejection is not my name. I am accepted in the Beloved.
- What rejection story still affects how I read people and situations?
- What false identity did that pain try to give me?
- How would I live this week if I truly believed I am accepted in Christ?
Write a short "identity card" with three truths about who you are in Christ. Read it morning and night for seven days.
"This week I learned that acceptance in Christ is stronger than rejection in my history."
